My niece Jordan was invited to meet Gov. Rick Perry of Texas. Her parents, my sister Suzanna, and brother in law David, and my mom and dad accompanied her and they all had great things to say about how nice the governor was.. She was invited with other paralympians from Texas to Austin. It was a great trip for her. Jordan is visually impaired and went to the Paralympics in Beijing in Judo. She is now training for 2012 in London. Check out her website here. Jordan has had some great experiences, such as training at the Olympic Center in Colorado Springs and being on the Oprah show.
